Field of Food is a program initiative developed by Volunteer Broward. Volunteer Broward, a 501(c) 3 nonprofit, provides a central focus for the development, growth and coordination of volunteer activities and services within Broward County and promotes involvement from all and for all segments of the community in relation to volunteerism. Countywide Partner Drop-Off Locations: September 15 - October 15
Non-Perishable GIFTS OF FOOD may be dropped off September 15 - October 15, 2009 at the following partner collection points throughout Broward County during regular business hours. All goods will be weighed and recorded to reach our goal of 1,000,000 pounds of food and immediately distributed to our benefiting agencies.

Field of Food Distribution Point: Saturday, October 17
Food collection will also take place at Volunteer Broward's Field of Food final distribution point at Lockhart Stadium on Saturday, October 17 from 10 am until 2pm. Lockhart Stadium is located at 1350 NW 55 Street in Fort Lauderdale, just east of the Florida Turnpike off Commercial Boulevard.
Volunteer Broward's Field of Food benefits the Million Meals Committee, a collaboration organized by the Coordinating Council of Broward County, and funded by The Children's Services Council of Broward County, supporting the collection and distribution of food and funds to local food pantries and social services agencies throughout Broward County. www.MillionMeals.org
